For those people who are energetic, there is mountain biking and hiking. The Mahoning Shadow Trail is part of Rails To Trails, an organization that converts old unused railroad tracks into bike trails. Rails To Trails can also be found in a few other towns that surround Punxsutawney. The bike trail that is nearby to the Bed & Breakfast is made up of three smaller connected trails. The hiking trail is fairly rugged, as it crosses a few small streams and goes over some rocky terrain. The hiking trail is marked very well and is easy to follow.
