There are many different attractions in the area. Amish Country is a big hit with a lot of our guests, as it offers a glimpse in to the way life used to be not too long ago. Punxsutawney Phil has been a big attraction for many years, but his popularity has skyrocketed ever since the movie Groundhog Day was released. Evergreen Valley Vineyards makes some exceptional wines and give an interesting tour of their winery and vineyards. Silver Brook Petting Zoo is a fun place for children or adults. Nature's Comeback Bison Ranch is a very educational and enjoyable experience. The Punxsutawney Historical Society is a great place to go if you want to look up genealogy of Punxsutawney relatives or see photos of what it was like in Punxsutawney between the 1890's and 1960's. The Punxsutawney Historical Society also has a museum and gift shop. For those people who are enthusiastic, there is mountain biking and hiking. The mountain bike trail is part of Rails To Trails (an organization that converts old unused railroad tracks in to bike trails). The bike trail that is nearby the bed and breakfast is made up of three smaller connected trails. Rails To Trails also can be found in a few other towns that surround Punxsutawney. The hiking trail is fairly rugged, it crosses a few small streams and goes over some rocky terrain. The hiking trail is marked very well and is easy to follow. Please bring hiking boots if you plan on hiking the trail.
